On the evening of June 16th, Ypsilanti City Council voted to approve construction on the Border To Border Trail just east of downtown, with a new non-motorized bridge from Riverside Park to Michigan Avenue, a mid-block (signaled) crossing of Michigan Avenue for the B2B and a permanent paved B to B from Michigan Avenue to Grove Road. This is great news and hats off to the Ypsilanti City Council for understanding that a non-motorized path can be not only be great for recreation/transportation but also a real economic plus that can help spur development.
